Welcome back to week 118!
This past week, we celebrated LILLIE’s beautiful wedding ❤️🔥❤️🔥 in Chicago and admired all the lilies dotting Wicker Park then flew home to reset before the week. I also booked some travel for work, went to track club (PR’d in the mile! small wins), caught up with a friend, and meal prepped a bit.
This coming week is my last before starting work! I’d like to FINALLY bake my first loaf of sourdough bread (one of Cody’s coworkers gave me starter and is coding a sourdough app so I am a first tester lol), work out a lot, read a lot, do a hike or two, and generally soak in all the peacefulness.
Other Things/Reads:
Started Traveling Mercies by Anne Lammott - I didn’t really know what to expect with this one as it is described as a sort of memoir / faith book, but I am really liking it and am about 80% through. The author is a little….crazy, in some ways? lol. but she is self aware and wise and wry and the book has depth while still being feel-good. I am also enjoying her descriptions of the bay area in the 60’s and 70’s.
Cooked:
Red Lentil Dahl for after the airport and as meal prep for the week
Sweet Potato Sloppy Joe Bowls- We had these bowl-style with roasted sweet potato cubes instead of whole baked sweet potatoes, and THEY WERE SO GOOD. I added a lot of extra finely diced veggies (celery, carrots, an extra bell pepper) into the mix to bulk it up. I will be making again!
Healthier Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars
WISH ME LUCK ON MY FIRST SOURDOUGH LOAF (and with work next week)
See ya next week,
Caroline
P.S.
