124. Tray table
matcha, trousers, and big sweatshirts
Welcome back to week 124!
This past week was a grind, but ended well. The past few weeks have candidly been bewildering due to all sorts of factors, but I am slowly getting used to the new lifestyle (new job, traveling every week, etc). Some small joys: I went on a LOVELY slow jog this morning and simply enjoyed, I got professionally stretched at run club (recommend), I had a daily afternoon iced matcha, I listened to an Elizabeth Gilbert podcast (thank you Teagan for the rec!), journaled a lot, laughed with my team, and made another loaf of sourdough. The weather in Utah is PRISTINE and the fall colors are starting to pop!
This next week, I travel and hope to get some good workouts in (moving slowly and warming up my ankle beforehand), attend a group trail for the first time in over a month, then plan to go to a college football game and hopefully see Bear Lake. Excited for natural beauty and fall vibes.
Other Things/Reads:
Started The Will of the Many by James Islington - a rec from my cousin Amy! Wow, this is good. I read it for my entire hair appointment (highlights so took forever, iykyk). A fantasy novel that reminds me a lot of books I would read as a teenager. Would recommend if you like world building and/or mysteries.
Cooked/Baked:
Sourdough loaf
Easy homemade ramen for Cody’s birthday
See ya next week,
Caroline
