Welcome back to week 87!
Merry Christmas Eve! This past week was cozy, slow, and family-filled. We had the first Christmas party and cooked a decent amount - I LOVE this time of year. I also went to yoga in the village, took a break from running due to my achilles, got a color analysis done as a gift from Teagan (I am a SOFT AUTUMN), and made Ina Garten’s engagement chicken. We have a full house and it is so fun!
This coming week, we have more Christmas celebrations, more cooking, and eventual travel back to Pennsylvania which brings mixed feelings. There is lots to look to forward to in 2025 though - our ski trip with friends, a Chile study abroad/travel with my sister in law combo, and bigger things like finding out where we are moving. Much to unpack!!
Other Things/Reads: 🥖
Finished Wellness by Nathan Hill - this kept me mildly interested but was way too long. The characters were also moderately annoying - sadly, a dud.
Cooked:
Ina Garten’s Engagement Chicken - SO GOOD. I added carrots, potatoes, etc to roast alongside the chicken.
Haricots Verts to go with the engagement chicken
A simple curry with naan
Veggie chili and Turkey Chili
The classic Kale Caesar to go to the Christmas party
See ya next week,
Caroline
